I am thinking about making a giant collage with various things representing my my year in art principles. It would have a lot of pictures that represent a bigger picture. Another option would be making something out of symbols or that sort. I don't really know how I would go about making it, but I know it would probably use a lot of pictures.

End of year reflection
This course has been one that has been very interesting because it was fun and challenging at times. My challenges have been realistic drawing and just drawing in general. I'll leave the class thinking about how I can improve my drawing abilities. I don't really see art influencing my life in my future. I probably won't use it much. I might use it when I am deciding how to arrange things in my house or such. One of my abilities would be collaging.
SB Archeology
After looking closely through my Sketchbook, there are many reoccurring themes and similar ideas. At first, the sketchbook was very challenging and I struggled to come up with ideas. I was not very skilled at drawing so it was hard to decide on something to draw that was both simple and good at the same time. As time went on, I found a particular interest in collages with various pictures relating to basketball. I found that basketball was something I could draw to. Overall, I think the sketchbook was a difficult process and to be honest, I did not enjoy it. It was very repetitive and boring. However, it was very good practice for touching up my drawing skills.

Symboic Portrait Brainstorm
- Dad
- Mom
- Ray Allen
- Sister
I think I am going to do Ray Allen. He is a professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics. He is one of my favorite players for a long time and I know a lot about him.

Japan
Many vivid and saddening images stayed with me. The earthquake and tsunami in Japan was devastating for the people who were affected by it. Towns were wiped out, cars were floating in the streets and it was just a complete mess. Many people there need help to recover. Three wishes I have for the people are that families are reunited, the towns are rebuilt and the economy gets back on track.

Getting Back to Materials
I chose to use envelopes to make my self portrait because it would be easier than the other thing to choose from. I knew that envelopes have two sides so I could use that to my advantage. The process I used was to make the general body first and then go from there. i would then add a head with eyes and a mouth. However, I did not get a chance to add arms. I feel pretty good about my finished product because for the time we were given, I thought it turned out pretty good. If we were given more time, I think the finished product could have been a lot better.
