Reflecting on Picasso quote.
I think "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up" has a deep meaning. It means everyone is an artist in their own way. Every child has potential to be an artist even though they may not know they are. As children grow up, they use or lose their artistic ability. Some artists will continue to pursue art while others will lose the ability.

interesting what you say about use it or lose it richard. do you think every child knows they have the potential to be an artist like you say? how and where does one get that message from "the world"?

I do think every child has the potential. They just have to keep using their creative and artistic ability. The message comes naturally to some and not to others.
